FAQ’s

We know it can be stressful and overwhelming when you have been in an accident.  You may have many questions about the repair process, so we tried to anticipate some questions you may have in our FAQ’s.

Getting an Estimate

Do I need and appointment to have and estimate?

No. You may bring the vehicle in for and estimate any time 8am to 5pm Monday thru Friday. If your car is not drivable, we can arrange to have it towed to our facility or in some cases have an estimator come to you.

Can I get an estimate over the phone?

No. Your vehicle is a complex piece of machinery. We must be able to see the vehicle and the damage to determine what repairs are necessary to put your vehicle back to its pre-accident condition.

Do I need more than one estimate?

No.  You only need one estimate but are welcome to “shop” around if you’d like.

Are estimates free?

Yes.

How long does an estimate take.

Approx. 15-20 minutes for us to write an estimate. If you have extensive damage it may take a little longer.

Can I get a ride home after dropping off my car?

Yes. We would be happy to take you home or any other location in the valley.

Do we offer rental cars?

No. Although we can assist you in arranging one.

Insurance Issues

My insurance company gave me a list of repair facilities. Do I have to use them?

No. Colorado law states you can take your vehicle to any facility of your choice. Just let your insurance adjuster know where you would like to have your car repaired.

My insurance company wants me to bring my car to their claims center for an estimate. Do I have to?

No. You can always request to have your car inspected at the shop of your choice, or a location that works for you. If they are persistent about taking it to the claims center we would be happy to assist you in that process.

Can you help me negotiate with my insurance company?

Yes. That is what our helpful office staff is for. Once you have placed the claim, tell your insurance company where you would like to have it repaired and we can handle it from here on out. If you need help placing a claim we can also assist you in doing so.

Which insurance companies do you deal with?

We work with all insurance companies.

Repair Concerns

Do you use original manufacturer (OEM) parts in your repairs?

Yes, although your insurance company may require us to locate and use aftermarket or used parts. This is based on your insurance policy. If you are requesting all OEM parts you may have to negotiate with your insurance company. We would be happy to help you do so. If the insurance company will not allow you to have all OEM parts, it is an option to pay the difference of the alternate part and OEM.

Can you match my paint ?

Yes. Our expert paint team uses a Standox state of the art computerized paint mixing system.

Does Superior Body Shop, LLC offer a warranty?

Absolutely! Lifetime warranty on all of our work as long as you own the vehicle.

How long before I can wash and wax my vehicle?

You may wash it right away. Our paint booths bake your paint to ensure it cures in a timely manner. We recommend not waxing your vehicle for at least 6 months after repairs.
